Introduction
Of major concern to faculty teaching online is effective course management: how to manage course files, how to handle assignments electronically, and how to cope with technology problems before they mushroom into major disasters.

This topic presents practical and tested strategies for effective course management by addressing the primary issues of managing course files (how to reduce the "crazies" by working smarter, not harder).

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of Topic B4, you will:

  • Identify the purpose and primary content of a "Master Course Site".
  • Outline a "master course site," grouping related items into common folders.
  • Identify at least three additional techniques of working smarter in managing course files.
