Topic A3: Instructional Design - About the Author

Angel Clark Burba, MS, NREMT-P is the program coordinator for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Paramedic Program at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. She has worked as an instruction designer and project manager for several distance education projects and has been in education for over 15 years.

As one of the year 2000 Faculty Online Technology Training Consortium (FOTTC) fellows, Angel worked with some of the finest distance educators in the state of Maryland. Her current educational interests lie in distance education, instructional design and learning styles. She is co-director of a NHTSA/DOT grant, currently writing the national standards for EMS instructors and serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of EMS Educators. Angel has given many presentations on Distance Education with the goal or helping educators overcome the fear of distance learning.
